We talked about our favorite artists and the love for the musicians from the 80s. Depeche Mode, Prince, Tears for Fears, Madonna and Michael Jackson were only a few of many artists we agreed on we liked. I compared many synthesizers online and at the local music store but I was never satisfied. It had to be an instrument that inspired me on my musical journey. Then a friend sent me an article about a synthesizer from Teenage Engineering. Fortunately, I was one of the first lucky customers who could welcome the OP-1 to my studio. The onboard 4-Track recorder, the intuitive and colorful interface as well as plenty of sounds were just the thing I needed for my first track “Driving You Home”. With a lot of inspiration and the help of my beloved new synthesizer, two of my tracks (“Running Out Of Time” and “Shadow Warrior”) were featured on Rumble When Bumble #1 and #2, (a compilation series by the German label Noorden). “Running Out Of Time” was also featured on several synthwave mixtapes such as the Synthethix.FM Mixtape, and interviews on a few synthwave blogs would follow. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5b30f03bb10598630e876196/1530033819687-OJE7C5CBOI9W6KBJ3FRW/BHFF_NewLogo.jpg About - The Dream Of Working ON Film Soundtracks After I released more tracks on Soundcloud I was asked by Martin Laurence (a very talented actor and filmmaker) if I would like to compose a song for a scene on the second episode to “Retaliation”. This was a dream come true and I was happy to score the “office” scene (“Bad Day”) in which the main character was driving home from a stressful day in the office to his beloved wife. Due to a huge workload at his job, the composer who was supposed to work on the soundtrack unfortunately had no time to work on the project anymore. As the game developer (artistname: Mazeon) liked my music, he asked me If I wanted to compose the soundtrack for Sirius Rising. This was another dream come true! Having played a lot of games in my child-hood and being a retrogaming fan, I gladly accepted. Sirius Rising is still in development. They wanted to have five or six songs and would back them up with two to three remixes by other artists. So, I quickly finished another three songs to the already existing ones and contacted them again. Unfortunately, they changed their mind and wanted to publish exclusive songs only. After this experience, I stopped uploading songs to social media and wanted to come back with an Album containing only exclusive songs. This was the reason why my EP never had a proper release.
